Miranda joined the Matsubara Lab in April 2019 as an undergraduate research assistant, and has since completed a Summer Student Research Project funded by UBC’s Faculty of Medicine (2020), Summer Student Research Project with BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (2020), and NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (2021) with the Matsubara Lab. She will continue her involvement with the lab in a Work-Learn research position (2021-2022). Miranda graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Combined Honours degree in Biochemistry and Forensic Science.
