Karianne is currently in her third year of her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Rochester in New York. Outside academic interest, she enjoys playing tennis, outdoor videography and going on hikes with friends and family. She intends to pursue graduate studies in the health sciences. In the lab, Karianne has learned 1) paraffin tissue sectioning using the microtome; 2) Frozen tissue sectioning using the cryostat; 3) Embedding tissue; 4) Immunohistomchemistry staining and deparaffinizing slides; 5) confocal microscopy; 6) reviews for scientific research articles.Contact: ksretava@u.rochester.edu
